Meet our 2022 Cherry Blossom Princess, Whitney Moak.  Whitney is a lifelong Mississippian and a proud native of Brookhaven, where she graduated Salutatorian of Brookhaven Academy’s Class of 2016. She is a 2020 graduate of The University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’e Degree in Exercise Science with minors in Psychology and Biology. At Ole Miss, she was active in many service and leadership organizations; she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, serving as Special Events Chair and a 2019 Panhellenic Recruitment Counselor.

In 2017, Whitney made her debut in the Debutante Club of Mississippi. She was also selected as a 2018 Maid and the 2020 Queen of the Brookhaven Krewe of Ceres Charity Ball.

Whitney has an adventurous spirit; she traveled to South Africa in summer of 2019 to study leadership, service and culture with the Lead Abroad Program. While serving in South Africa, she broke physical boundaries through first-time adventures such as skydiving over Cape Town, bungee jumping off of the tallest bridge in the world, and cage-diving with great white sharks!

In the summer of 2021, Whitney served as a United States Senate intern for the office of Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith. This incredible experience taught Whitney about the legislative process, shaping her outlook upon the world and the extraordinary impact of Mississippi in our country.

Whitney’s next career step is to attend Nursing School to achieve her BSN degree toward becoming an Advanced Practice Nurse.

Whitney is honored and excited to return to D.C., to represent the Magnolia State as the 2022 Cherry Blossom Princess!
